Ka Lam’s journey as a professional makeup artist began in 2003 at New York Fashion Week, where she was deeply inspired by the work of legendary artist Pat McGrath. This experience ignited her passion, connecting her love for art — first nurtured during her Fine Arts degree at The University of Hong Kong — with a new purpose:
To express her artistic talent through the art of makeup which allow one to feel beautiful and confident both in and out.
Dedicated to her craft, Ka Lam pursued professional makeup training in Hong Kong and furthered her studies at prestigious schools in London and New York. This strong foundation allows her to create makeup that feels both timeless and personally tailored.
In 2010, Ka Lam established her studio KALAMAKEUP in Central where the heart of Hong Kong is.
Over the past 2 decades, she has helped over 1,000 brides for their local and destination weddings. Her expertise also includes working with CEOs for corporate shoots, preparing celebrities for performances and leading stylists at fashion shows. She is also grateful to have shared her knowledge through makeup classes at her studio and different academic institutions.
Ka Lam is supported by a dedicated & passionate team of stylists who have been with her for over 15 years. Their shared commitment ensures every client receives the same high standard of care.
Throughout her career, Ka Lam has been humbled to travel the globe working with fashion and bridal clients. Her work has been graciously featured in international editions of prestigious publications such as Tatler, ELLE and Marie Claire. Her fashion clients include renowned brands like Lanvin, Fendi, Gucci and Chanel and she has had the pleasure of working with international celebrities & designers including Charlotte Tilbury, Vivienne Tam, Nicole Scherzinger, Lily James, Ricky Martin, Backstreet Boys & Jean-Claude Van Damme and many more.

Ka Lam has provided wedding makeup and hair styling services for more than 800 brides over the last 22 years. We strongly believe that brides should look fresh, glowy, elegant and most importantly - natural. The more comfortable the brides feel with their appearance, the more confident and stunning they will look on their wedding days.
Ka Lam and her team arrange trials before the wedding days to try out different makeup and hair styling looks that match the brides' personality, gowns and what they have always dreamed of for their big days. Communication between makeup artists and the bride is essential, we will work with you to understand what you want and meet any expectations.
ONE-ON-ONE | GROUP MAKEUP CLASSES
Learning how to do one's makeup professionally is every woman's dream and yet not every woman can master the techniques and skills. We would love to share our tips and vast knowledge in makeup and skincare products with students. They can learn how to do their own makeup professionally that is long lasting, durable and makes you feel great. During the makeup classes, students will learn how to apply makeup step by step in an easier manner.
Ka Lam provides cosmetic/makeup products, brushes and tools that are suitable for specific facial features and skin types in order to create flawless natural and evening looks. Makeup course syllabus is composed of 2 classes that can be conducted in either English or Cantonese.

Ka Lam and her team have provided makeup and hair styling services for numerous fashion shows, editorials, TV commercials, printed ads, concerts, etc. Ka Lam has developed very strong communication and teamwork through her working experiences with many international celebrities including Nicole Scherzinger, Solange Knowles, Lily Allen, Lily James, Ricky Martin, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Backstreet Boys, Charlotte Tilbury, Rose McGowan, Jason Mraz, John Mayer and also with some of the leading international fashion brands such as Adidas, Valentino, Vivienne Westwood, Loewe, Leonard, La Perla, Hugo Boss, Paule Ka, Furla, Chanel, Gucci and Shanghai Tang.
