Job 1: 4 days show on 14 - 18 Dec 2015

Our team (35 stylists) have helped more than 100 talents including dancers, aerialists, hostesses, choirs and singers to get ready for a 4 days show. It was such an exciting and fun experience to have such a big team despite the amount of preparation we have to do beforehand! I love my team so much as they have been so helpful and joyful to work with! Thank you again for being part of my team and hopefully, more big shows will be coming this year 🙂

Job 2: Lily Allen on 30 & 31 Jan 2015

I was so lucky to have the chance to do makeup & hair for Lily Allen for her 2 days visit in Hong Kong. Most of us will know her songs "Smile" and "Fuxk You". She is such a fun and laid back girl to work with. At the end of the concert, she gave me a Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette as a souvenir 🙂 I hope I can see her again soon in HK.

Job 3: Fiji Water Advertising Shoot on 23 Jan 2015

Joyce Yung (photographer) whom I met many years ago has asked me to do the makeup and hair for Fuji water advertising shoot. We have quite a lot of looks for the model and shooting at W hotel was very comfortable and nice. I really like how the photos turn out 🙂

Job 4: SCAD fashion show on 15 Jan 2015

Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is a private, nonprofit university with locations in Savannah, Georgia, Hong Kong, and Lacoste. They have invited our team to help with the models to create a fresh clean makeup and hair styling look for their fashion showcase. We are so blessed to help SCAD again this year in Jan!

Job 5: Milan Fashion Week on 25 & 28 Feb ; 1 Mar 2015

My makeup journey all started in 2004 as that summer, I went to attend my best friend's graduation in NYC and she managed to get me into the Anna Sui fashion show's backstage. There, I was fascinated by the craziness and exciting environment and have met my all-time favorite "makeup idol" - Pat McGrath. She has been such an inspiration as she has created the most iconic and creative makeup in the world! Her passion towards inventing the most non traditional look has inspired me and the whole makeup industry to keep being innovative. I have previously written a blog about Pat McGrath. Although I didn't get the chance to work in NYC fashion week, I was lucky enough to have the chance to work for Philipp Plein, Vivetta & MSGM in Milan. I have met a lot of talented makeup artists from all over the world and have experienced the most hectic, crazy and busy backstage. Doing makeup for top models such as Jessica Stam and Lindsey Wilson was unforgettable! Thank you so much again for the lovely opportunity and I will never forget having 4 hair stylists, 2 makeup artists and 2 manicurists working with Jessica within 15 minutes before the show!

Job 6: Steampunk makeup for FLY on 15 May 2015

When I received the request to do the "Steampunk" theme makeup for an event, I was very excited and yet nervous! It is definitely not a everyday thing that we do such creative and crazy makeup for models! After the makeup was finished, the models put on their red wigs and steampunk outfits and the total look is definitely unique and different! They remind of me of the Japanese animation movie we watched when we were young.

Job 7:  Kate Spade Fashion Shows on 7 Jul & 21 Oct & 26 Nov 2015

It has always been our pleasure to work with Kate Spade for the past few years for their press events. Every time, Kate Spade managed to surprise everyone with their effort and attention to details in decorating the venues! 20 beautiful and elegant models on stage wearing the most fun and colorful outfits carrying the most interesting handbags, clutches and shoes never fail to disappoint their guests! The set up for the shows have definitely given a "WOW" factor! I have to say I am a big fan of their design!

Job 8:  Summer Makeup Workshops & Corporate Training in July & Aug 2015

Before I became a makeup artist, I was an Arts and English teacher for a couple of years during university time and after graduation. I have always enjoyed teaching especially teaching makeup as it helps me to pass on my passion and share my knowledge with others. Most importantly, I believe that it is essential for every girl and woman to learn how to do their own makeup. It is not a MUST to wear makeup everyday but applying makeup does help us to look fresher and bring out our confidence.

During summer, I  have conducted makeup workshops where I taught different themes such as "Daily Office Look", "Party Evening Look", "Summer Beach Look" and "Color Theory". I enjoyed very much as my students were so eager to learn and to improve their makeup skills! Besides teaching workshops, I have also taught in corporate companies that allowed me to be more communicative with people of different age groups. Through teaching, not only I have learned from my students as they have asked some challenging questions, I have also be more familiar with my palettes and tools ! If you want to learn some basic natural or evening makeup without leaving your apartment or work place, you can also take a look at my makeup tutorials!
